About the QUAD Artera Stereo Power Amplifier
The QUAD Artera Stereo power amplifier is manufactured using only the highest quality components and innovative construction methods. Utilizing a Class A amplification design, the Artera Stereo is capable of driving 140 watts RMS to each channel, allowing even the most demanding speakers to perform at their best. Within the unit itself, Quad’s patented Current Damping technology is utilized, dramatically reducing any unwanted noise or distortion.
The Artera Stereo features patented current damping technology developed by founder Peter Walker. One of the few truly innovative amplifier topologies, it effectively combines two amplifiers for the best of Class A and Class B operation.
A low-power Class A amplifier refines the musical signal while a high-power section adds grip for speaker control. Combined via a precision bridge network, these work together to impose the clarity and musicality of the Class A output on the power of the power dumper.
From the transformer to the input terminals, every selection of the Artera has been designed from the ground up to ensure power, musicality and stability. The Artera Stereo produces 140 watts RMS per channel. Enough power to drive top-notch speakers. Special attention has been paid to the newly developed balanced XLR inputs.

Who is Quad?
Quad is a highly respected manufacturer of quality hi-fi electronics and loudspeakers, having developed award-winning audiophile quality products for over 80 years. Their highly praised reputation is well deserved. The company originally built loudspeakers for public amplification, switching to domestic hi-fi after the end of the war.
The first commercially available products were the Quad 22 preamplifier and the Quad II Monoblock power amplifiers, both of which enjoyed great success on the market for ten years.
