About the Dr Feickert VERO-S phonostage
Brand new in the range is the Dr Feickert VERO-S phonostage.
The VERO has been around for a few years now and it is making customers enthusiastic. Completely new is the smaller phono preamplifier VERO S. It has been convincing from the start. During development, the emphasis was on the optimum adaptability of MC systems. The same circuit as in the large VERO is used here, but there is no possibility of adjustment via remote control.
For the production of the VERO S, all critical components are measured and matched to within 1% tolerance; an effort that pays off acoustically and is clearly noticeable. Since in addition to the correction, there is also a need for high gain (up to 66 dB), the focus was on extremely low noise of the ICs used.
On the front are 3 switches for Power, Gain and Subsonic Filter. The setting is done with jumpers in the device. A bit more complicated, but he compensates for it after the setting with a stable, dynamic and open sound image. Here everything is just right and the Dr Feickert VERO-S is for us one of the most interesting phono preamplifiers in its price range.
- Optionally, there is a linear power supply unit tuned to the Dr Feickert VERO-S. Attention! Other power supplies, including the linear one for the turntable, do not work and can damage the VERO S!!!
