The Quad Revela 1 is a high-end two-way bookshelf speaker with an advanced bass reflex enclosure and a unique 27 x 60 mm True Ribbon tweeter that delivers exceptional detail and transient resolution.

The 16,5cm mid/bass driver is constructed from a new advanced fiber composite material that's stiffer and better damped for tight, controlled bass and smooth overtones. With 86dB sensitivity and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, it's suitable for amplifiers from 30 to 120 watts.

The frequency response ranges from 54 Hz to 24 kHz (+/- 3 dB) with bass extension down to 40 Hz (-6 dB). The crossover frequency is 2,9 kHz, using an asymmetric and phase-compensated Acoustic Butterworth crossover for optimal driver integration and clear, natural sound.

The cabinet is solidly built with a sandwich construction of HDF and MDF to minimize resonance. The Revela 1 measures 39,5 x 24,6 x 31,2 cm, weighs approximately 11 kg each, and is available in high-gloss walnut and black.

These speakers are ideal for lovers of open, transparent sound with a subtle musical warmth and a very detailed reproduction, excellently suited to both modern and classical music.

Reveal™

The advanced "True Ribbon" unit is paired with equally high-performing bass and midrange drivers. Once again, after many years of research, development, testing, and continuous innovation, the midrange and bass drivers feature a new advanced fiber composition, aptly named "Reveal™."

Refined for seamless integration with the 'True Ribbon' HF, the smooth diaphragm drivers were purposefully selected for their stiffness and excellent self-damping properties.

This new diaphragm, combined with a new specially developed custom rubber surround, for greater excursion and a new high-output motor system. Means the result is an outstanding bass performance, with power, depth, speed and articulation in abundance.

And, of course, putting it all together is a phase compensated Acoustic Butterworth crossover! Which comes from not only Computer-Aided Design. But also hundreds of hours of critical listening tests with all types and flavors of music to achieve perfection.
